How You Can Get Involved

The success of America 250 in Guilford County depends on community participation. There are numerous ways to contribute to this historic celebration.

For Individuals

• Join our committee – We meet on the second Thursday of the month at 2:30 pm via Google Meet. Email america250guilford@gmail.com to join our next meeting.
• Volunteer for events – Help with planning, setup, and execution of commemorative activities (scroll down for the volunteer form)
• Share your story – Contribute family histories, artifacts, or local knowledge
• Attend programs – Participate in educational events and community celebrations

For Organizations

• Partner with us – Schools, nonprofits, and community groups can collaborate on programming
• Sponsor events – Help fund activities that serve the entire community
• Host programs – Offer your venue or expertise for educational initiatives

For Educators

• Integrate America 250 themes into the curriculum
• Participate in America 250 Guilford coloring contests
  • Flag contest for 4th graders (Winter 2025-2026)
  • “What America Means to Me” contest for all ages (Winter-Spring 2006)
